Last night, if I understood right, Sigung Steve said that it is beneficial to practice this form at full speed every now and then, but this form should most definitely be practiced slow the majority of the time. I did this a little in the mirror today and it was interesting. Right now the last two sections feels okay, though I have to be very mindful to make a distinction between “moving fast softly” VS “moving fast with tension”.
The first section feels foreign to me–not sure how to move fast with softness. I can thrust my tan & fook sau forward and that feels ok, but the returning wu sau and the lowering of the fook sau doesn’t feel right going fast. Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Dan
Here is my homework entry for yesterday’s class. I get interrupted at 2:55–luckily I finished in time!
